Solar System-
Jupiter.

Juno Spacecraft |
Upon arrival in July 2016, Juno has began a one year mission to gain a better understanding of
Jupiter's formation and internal structure, and to study its gravitational field, magnetic field and polar magnetosphere.
|
Structure of Juno |
Unusual for a mission so far from
the Sun, Juno is solar powered, requiring three huge panels to provide enough electrical power for it to complete its mission.
|
Size of the Juno Spacecraft |
The craft carries with it a plaque containing a self-portrait and quite written in 1610 by Galileo Galilei about the discovery of the moons of
Jupiter. It also carries
Lego Figurines depicting Galileo, the Roman God
Jupiter, and
Jupiter's wife Juno, for which the craft is named.

Making of Juno Spacecraft |
Once its mission is complete it will be de-orbited and crash into
